Intellectual Property for Growth grants (round one - stage two)

Delegated authority has been granted to the West of England Combined Authority (Combined Authority) Chief Executive Officer to take decisions on the award of Intellectual Property for Growth grants in consultation with the Chief Executive Officers of the West of England councils.

 

£480,000 of the Combined Authority’s West of England Investment Fund has been allocated to progress the programme.

 

Intellectual Property for Growth supports Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) based in Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire (the West of England Combined Authority geography) seeking to conduct an Intellectual Property (IP) audit (stage 1) and implement recommended actions contained therein (stage 2).

 

For stage 2 of the programme companies can claim up to £5,600 in grant funding to support them in making progress on their recommended actions.

 

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the West of England Combined Authority, in consultation with the CEOs of the West of England councils, are required to approve stage 2 awards of funding.
