Mini-Holland Feasibility and Development Application Forms

The Combined Authority submitted an Expression of Interest from each of the UAs for the DfT’s Mini-Holland pilot programme in August 2021, to create areas where walking and cycling is prioritised, and car use reduced.

The Combined Authority was informed at the end of March that the DfT would award £78,947 for a feasibility study for either the BCC or SGC proposed areas – East Bristol and Yate respectively.  DfT felt both schemes have merit but will only fund one scheme, and that the decision on which scheme to submit for the DfT delivery funding will be made by the Combined Authority.

The DfT will identify the 12 pilot areas that would receive delivery funding, based on the outputs from the feasibility studies.  The level of funding for this programme has not yet been confirmed.
