Talent retention platform
In approving the £9.4m Regional Recovery
Fund on 9 October 2020, the WECA Committee agreed officer
delegations to ensure that decisions on business cases / detailed
specific proposals for the agreed schemes can be progressed at
pace.
One of the proposals was the Talent Retention Scheme:
The Talent Retention Platform project will design and deliver an
interactive web-based, business to business platform, that will
provide employers in the West of England with a facility to
advertise employment opportunities to those businesses facing the
prospect of making their staff redundant. Ultimately this tool is
intended to be used as one of the support functions of the Response
to Redundancy Group and its partners.
The project proposal was developed in consultation with the
Response to Redundancy Group,
West of England Unitary Authority Economic Development & Skills
Managers, the Skills
Officer Group and with support from UA Business and Skills
Directors.
The Chief Executives of the 4 West of England unitary authorities
were consulted on this proposal and signed-off the Feasibility and
Development Funding application form for the project.
