Purpose:

The Department for Transport awarded £540m CRSTS to the West of England. The programme was approved at January 2022 Committee and included in its scope £1m for delivery of this scheme. To support timely decision making and delivery, Business Case approvals for projects of a value below £6m in this programme were delegated by the Combined Authority Committee to the Combined Authority Director of Infrastructure in consultation with the Directors of Infrastructure of the constituent Councils in July 2022.

 

A Feasibility and Development Funding Application has been produced by South Gloucestershire Council to draw down development funding for a Full Business Case. It sought delegated approval for the award of £209,000 capital funding from CRSTS.

Decision:

To approve Feasibility and Development Funding Application and the award of £209,000 from CTSTS capital to South Gloucestershire Council for the Bristol to Bath Railway path project to complete a Full Business Cases by October 2024.
