Delegated authority has been granted to the Combined Authority’s Chief Executive to take decisions on the Green Futures Grant Allocations in consultation with the Chief Executives of the Combined Authority’s constituent councils.

Approve awards of grant funding to:-

a.     UWE led consortia with Cabot Learning Federation and three of their schools. The project will deliver ‘green’ industry connect lesson plans and careers events, Recommendation – Conditional approval first submitting acceptable outline of how this differentiates from existing DETI funded provision.

b.     Graphic Science led consortia working with Lighthouse Partnership Trust (3 schools). Co-design of 4 curriculum lessons for KS3 to be co-delivered with ‘green’ relevant STEM ambassadors. Recommendation –Conditional approval on submitting evidence that this is not currently funded through STEM Learning and not duplication of existing resources.

c.      South Bristol Youth working with 4 Schools.  Conditional Approval on putting in place a commitment from the schools to connect the project to curriculum design and embedding green careers in the curriculum.
