Adult Education Budget 2021/22 – final allocations
Decision Maker: Chief Executive, West of England Combined Authority
Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Is Key decision?: No
Is subject to call in?: No
Purpose:
Delegated authority has been granted to the
Combined Authority Chief Executive, in consultation with
constituent council Chief Executives, to agree the final allocation
of the Adult Education Budget to providers for 2021-22.
The Combined Authority has received Curriculum Delivery Plans from
11 providers. Of these, 10 were able to be considered at this point
in time and recommended for funding.
An assessment by officers of these Curriculum Delivery Plans showed
that, in overall terms, providers have committed to move in the
direction outlined in the Combined Authority’s 2021/22 Adult
Education Budget Strategy. This was considered to be particularly
positive in light of the current pressures that providers are under
due to the impact of Covid-19. On this basis, 10 providers were
recommended to receive funding.
The Skills lead officers and Chief Executives of the West of
England constituent councils were consulted on this proposal and
were in agreement with the decision.
