Decision details

The West of England Combined Authority agreed:

1.    To adopt the updated Constitution including:

a)    the arrangements for the discharge of Overview and Scrutiny functions  as set out in Appendix 1 of the report.

b)    an amendment to Standing Order A13.3, to amend the time allowed for individual speakers from 5 minutes to 3 minutes, so as to increase public participation.

c)    Agreement to the terms of reference for the Infrastructure Business and Skills Advisory Boards as set out in Appendix 2 of the report.

1.    The West of England Combined Authority agreed that scrutiny of the Joint Committee will be undertaken by the West of England Combined Authority Overview and Scrutiny Committee with attendance by 3 members of the North Somerset Council Scrutiny Panel.

2.    The West of England Combined Authority agreed to give delegated authority to the Interim Monitoring Officer to make all consequential amendments to the Constitution to give effect to 1 (i), (ii), (iii) and 2 above.   

3.    The West of England Combined Authority agreed to approve the Calendar of Meetings attached as Appendix 3 to the report.
